Bill and the Buzz are Back

Just when you thought you'd never see it again, just when you thought it was lost to the wiles of time and laziness, here it is, a new Buzz! (I suspect that there are two people out there who might have wondered where the Buzz has been. They're both people I've lived with in recent months, but anyway...).
My review of the Jackson special is incomplete, because halfway through, at 9 pm, I switched over to Larry King Live to see ex-President Clinton. It was good to see him. My attitude towards Clinton while he was in office was mixed - I certainly supported him, as he was a Democratic President, and agreed with many of his polices as a result, but I also felt like he could be better. But after two years of Bush, Clinton's looking better than ever! Wow, what a joy it was to see a president who clearly thinks through issues, who's response to problems aren't corny bits of folksy talk and squinty eyes. Imagine, a President who's sentences aren't akin to strolls in a verbal minefield of mispronunciations, mixed up quotes, and plain mistaken information. And what's this, a President who realizes that North Korea is a bigger threat to us than Iraq, and proposes a peaceful but forceful way to resolve the problem, as opposed to a military build-up and blustery talk? Were it not for the constant distractions during his administration (and it can be argued to what extent they were the rightful result of his own actions, but in the end they were distractions and not issues central to his job), it seems likely his presidency would have been impressive indeed. As it is, we had 8 pretty decent years. But I dare say that I'm not the only one who wishes he were still President!
